Brooke Dressler

Brooke Dressler is well-known around Potosi, not just because she teaches at Potosi Schools, but because she was previously a student at Potosi. Ms. Dressler graduated with the class of 2017 from Potosi High School.

Ms. Dressler knew that she wanted to become a teacher when she got out of high school. When she was in high school, she tutored with Millie Uppena, the 2nd-grade teacher here at Potosi. Ms. Dressler knew she wanted to be a teacher after tutoring for Mrs.Uppena. Ms. Dressler stated, “When I tutored for Millie Uppena, I saw how awesome her classroom was and how fun it all seemed, and how everyone was always so happy in there. After I was her tutor, then I wanted to be a teacher.”

After high school, Ms.Dressler went to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to get her education degree. She attended UW-Platteville for four years. She was lucky enough to come back to Potosi when she was in college to do her student teaching.

Ms. Dressler never planned to return and teach full-time at the school she graduated from. She knew she wanted to stay close to home and get a job in the area. She just wanted to go wherever she got a job. She ended up getting lucky with the 1st-grade position here at Potosi when it became open in 2022

Ms. Dressler never specifically plan on coming back to Potosi to teach. She was going to go wherever she got a job in the area. She ended up getting lucky with the 1st grade position here at Potosi.

Ms. Dressler really enjoys teaching at Potosi. She does think it is funny to see the teachers that she had when she was in high school. She loves coming to work every day to see her students and coworkers.
