It's been a fast paced semester in the Potosi School Shop. Aside from all of the awesome projects students cranked out, we also certified 14 students in industry recognized certifications. Certifications including Briggs and Stratton Master Service Technician, Brotherhood of Carpenters Residential Carpenter Certification, and Snap On Precision Measurement Tools will give our students a leg up in college or the workforce. Some other massive projects we have been working on include the MGB car. The engine is remachined and rebuilt and is waiting to be tuned and mated to it's transmission. The new Wood CNC Router has been busy doing custom work for a local woodworker. Students also completed some work for Gondola Train including repairing and welding large metal boxes. Thanks to all of our students for a great year, and thank you to our industry partners like Gondola Train and Epic Construction for their support of the Potosi Career and Technical Education Programs.

Each spring, the Wisconsin Council of Administrators for Special Services (WCASS) recognizes and honors educators who have demonstrated excellence in special education across the 12 CESA regions in the state. Educators are nominated by their peers and/or administrators and then voted on by the Regional Service Network within CESA 3.
This year, Potosi is once again fortunate to have been recognized with two Region 3 WCASS Awards. The team of Julie Adrian, Kelsey Schnohoff, Jill Wunderlin, Dana Straka, Ashley Alvarado, JoAnne Gratz, and Tiffany Helmke were selected as the Region 3 WCASS Collaborative Team of the year.
